    Bismarck Got His Wings

My Bismarck got his wings today. I know he is not in pain anymore, but I hope wherever he is there is plenty of space to run around, dogs to play with and more toys then he will ever be able to destuff.

This was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. Bismarck has filled my life with so much laughter and joy. I will miss that little guy more then words can say. He has always been my angel, now he really is one.

    Home from Tests

Bismarck came home from the neurologist this morning. The CT scan didn't show any masses in his brain which is good, but we are still waiting on the results from the other tests. He is on steroids and different antibiotics. His behavior hasn't changed any, he is still having trouble with his balance. He falls over every time he gets up. It is really sad, but I am hopeful that whatever it is can be treated.

    Going to See Specialist

Bismarck is not getting better, unfortunately, he seems worse. He needs assistance walking and going to the bathroom because of his balance issues and muscle weakness. We are going to see a neurologist tomorrow morning at the same office that did his hernia surgery a few years ago. If he is having seizures of some kind, I have not seen it happen. I have no idea what is causing this and I am so scared. He has hypothyroidism not hyperthyroidism I must of misunderstood the vet last week. I hope that we find out something tomorrow, I just want him to feel better.

    Need Your Thoughts

I know it has been a really long time since we have posted and I am posting now because I would really like some positive thoughts out there for Bismarck. He has been having some health issues. It started out with him tripping over things and now his balance is off that he is falling all the time (mostly to the right). His back legs fall out from under him, muscle weekness. He has been on steroids hoping that it would help but it did not. Some blood work came back that he has hyperthyroidism and I have put him on meds for that this weekend but my vet said she has never had a hyperthyroid present with the symptoms he has so she will be consulting with a specialist on Monday. She said she didn't want to scare me, but there is a possibility of a stroke or a tumor. More test will need to be done, probably an MRI. I just want him to feel better. It is breaking my heart to see him like this. I will post when I know more.

    Getting All Healed Up

I went back to the surgeon the end of last week for a follow up and other than having my butt poked at.....again, all is well. I don't know what Mom was so worried about. I feel much better now. Time to take a nap. Catch everyone later.

    Been Awhile....just had surgery

Bismarck's Mom here. Bismarck had surgery yesterday. He had two hernia's repaired and whas neutered. I was very worried about him but he is home and resting now. He seems to be doing well. I am going to post a picture of his shaved area. Don't tell him, he would be so mad at me. :-)

Poor little guy has a bald butt. I can't tell you how happy I am he came through it all ok.
